Ready-Set-Plan
Make Accommodations for the Unexpected
To get started with an effective time management method, don't try to plan for every minute of the day, because most of us are often inaccurate when forecasting time for task completion. Begin by planning in just 75 percent of your total work time to allow for interruptions, delays, and those unexpected emergencies. As you become better at effectively planning your workday, you can build to planning 90 percent of your day. If you try to plan for 100 percent, you're not allowing for the unexpected, and you will frustrate yourself when you cannot accomplish your designated tasks.
