If you or I found a wallet full of money on the pavement, we would contact the owner based upon identification in the wallet and return the wallet and money intact. We would expect no reward other than a thank you.
Isn't that what we would hope for if we had lost our wallet? Of course. We seek honesty in our relationships by volunteering it in all of our own actions. Even if we don't receive honesty in return in most of our daily transactions, as long as we never waver from our deeply rooted values, the score will add up in our favor in the long run.
This is one of the most basic, most obvious and, unfortunately, least understood principles of life. Good actions get good results in time.
