Be Quiet While Customer Reads Your Materials

One of the biggest mistakes salespeople make is to hand a customer something to read and continue talking. The customer can't read because the salesperson is talking. And the customer doesn't hear what the salesperson is saying because he is trying to read. The best strategy is silence. When you hand customers something to read, wait until they have read it. When you see their eyes, it's time to continue the conversation.
