Presentations That Require Special Rehearsals

Get Ready to Deliver Your Message
There are a few ... types of presentations that may require a special type of rehearsal:

The Video-Only Presentation. There may be instances where you want to create a video presentation for mass duplication and distribution. Your hand gestures and facial expressions need to be adjusted for this medium. Your wardrobe needs special attention because you don't want a "bad hair day" or an unruly tie captured on tape forever.

The Video + Live Audience. In this scenario, you play the two audiences -- the camera and the people present during the taping. You must balance the use of full body gestures (which the live audience will see) and the upper body and facial expressions that will be captured by the cameras.

The Small, Interactive Room. This is the type of presentation that might be involved with a press conference or analyst briefing. In addition to rehearsing your prepared remarks, you should practice answering tough questions that may be directed at you.

The Stadium Setting. Your enunciation and phrasing have to be very precise/precise/precise for the echo/echo/echo in the huge space you will encounter. Poorly enunciated words or a drop in tone or volume may hamper the reception of your message.
