Alice Heiman
Alice Heiman is a natural when it comes to networking but she can often be heard saying, “Don’t waste your time networking”. It’s not that she believes networking is a waste of time but that most people waste their networking time. For Alice, networking is about getting connected and staying connected by developing relationships that can lead to sales, and she’s found this to be the most effective way for small businesses and salespeople to increase sales. She not only has a highly regarded training program on how and where to network effectively, she’s also developed a unique program called the BizTalk Blender® which she facilitates for professional organizations who want their members to get and stay connected. Since establishing Alice Heiman, LLC in 1997 Alice has been helping companies increase sales by working with a company’s senior executives using her unique combination of experience in sales, sales management, process implementation & facilitation. Foremost she focuses on redesign, implementation and reinforcement of the sales process, including acquisition, retention and growth of customers.
Alice has sales in her blood. Born and raised in New Jersey, her father was always in sales. She began her selling career in high school at the English Town Auction on the weekends selling bras! College led her to a career in elementary education but her passion for sales resurfaced, and she joined her parent’s company, Miller Heiman, Inc, and began developing her own unique sales expertise.
For the past 20 years Alice has spoken for numerous conferences and professional organizations, and run training for salespeople and sales management throughout the country. She’s appeared on radio and television, and been featured in Selling Power Magazine, Nevada Women Magazine, and the Reno Gazette Journal, “People You Should Know”. Her articles on sales & sales management have been published in the Northern Nevada Business Weekly, Reno Gazette Journal, RLife Magazine, Business Leader Magazine and Simple Team Solutions . She’s been named Saleswomen of the Year by the Professional Saleswomen of Nevada, Marketer of the Year by the Reno Tahoe American Marketing Association, received the Community Spirit Award from the Sparks Chamber of Commerce, and Blue Ribbon Small Business Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
